Biography:

After completing his undergraduate education magna cum laude at Gannon University, Dr. Makovey received  his dental degree from the University of Michigan and was inducted into the OKU National Dental Honor Society.  He went on to complete a six-year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Michigan Hospital and C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital.  During this training, Dr. Makovey also obtained a general surgery certificate as well as his medical degree.  After completing his residency, Dr. Makovey elected to pursue an additional fellowship  in Head & Neck Oncology and Reconstructive Surgery.
